Art invokes timelessness/the present when it is worthy of a natural inclusion to our artistic canon. That said, any art that is created is formed from the mold of the times it is created in. Thus, the timelessness of works comes from arts' ability to transcend the times that assault it. When art is capable of that, it is made by a master-artist. Or, lamely put, one who is defiant enough towards life to make love to it.
The creativity of the future is an extension of or rejection of the canon of past works. Perhaps as artists it is our responsibility to give our whole hearts into our works, so that the view for future artists is as rich as possible with life.
The future does not take care of itself. The future is a grove of trees. WE are the seeds of that grove. So, yes, give now. And fiercely, if we are capable of doing so.
